In India, the sources of power generation range from conventional sources, such as, coal, lignite, natural gas, hydro and nuclear power to viable non-conventional sources, such as, wind, solar, biomass etc. In recent times, the need to shift to renewable sources of energy has been felt due to its cheap, more accessible, and more environment friendly nature, to mention a few.
