Shri Suraj Pratap Malik, Director on the Board of Infomerics Ratings, attended this important conference, which discussed several contextual issues in a cross-country framework. The Association of Credit Rating Agencies in Asia (ACRAA), founded on 14th September 2001, organized an annual conference on 1st of December 2022 in Peninsula Manila, Philippines.
During the course of discussion, various topics like current Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) landscape, green projects, regulatory interventions, and frameworks of Credit Rating Agency (CRAs) were incisively examined.
Some of the major issues of concern for ACRAA have been objectivity, transparency, analysis, and quality of ratings. ACRAA has established and disseminated best rating practices and held collaborative training sessions to address these challenges. In recent years, it has also enhanced its role in collecting information on the worldwide regulatory environment for CRAs and provided information on bond markets and required rating requirements in Asia.
